■3rd Person POV■

Yesterday after the game, Bokuto called Y/N and asked her to go out with him. Y/N practically already finished all of her paperwork and stuff, so she agreed.

Right now Y/N is sitting on a bench at a park near MSBY base. They promised to meet there before going somewhere else.

After 15 minutes of waiting, Bokuto finally came running to her.

Bokuto: have you been waiting alone for a long time??? I'm sorry Tsum-tsum had something to say just when I'm about to run here

Bokuto frantically blabbering and apologizing. He was panting, probably because he ran all the way here.

Y/N: Bokuto san... you must be tired, please sit.

Y/N just talk softly to him and told him to sit. Bokuto stops talking and finally calmed down.

Bokuto sits next to her, but it was too close that their shoulders are touching.

Y/N: Bo- Bokuto san.. why did you sit so close?

Bokuto : can't I?... Y/N you... have been avoiding me lately... did I do something wrong?

Bokuto looks so down, he's really sad that Y/N seems distant again. Y/N felt bad that she didn't tell Bokuto about what she'd been doing.

Y/N: No! Bokuto san... you did nothing wrong, I really have something to do... I was busy, preparing to move back here to Japan... I'm sorry I didn't explain it to y-

Bokuto : You're... moving back here? So you mean.. you're not just visiting right now?

Y/N nods her head at Bokuto's question. All of Bokuto's sadness is gone in a split second after knowing that Y/N will live in Japan again. Then a thought crossed his mind.

Bokuto : uh... Y/N where do you live then? Have you found a new place?

Y/N: I still haven't found a new house yet.

Yes! Bokuto thought. When he's about to offer her to live with him, Y/N already talk first.

Y/N: but I'll be living with my aunt's family for a while... after all I haven't seen my only relatives for a long time.

Y/N said that with a smile, so Bokuto swallows the question he's about to ask.

Bokuto : oh wow great!

Bokuto tells himself to be patient, at least she's here now. And he knows where her aunt's house is anyway.

Bokuto : well, let's go Y/N!

Y/N: oh right where are we going?

Bokuto smiled and take Y/N hand in his bigger one. He pulled her up so she's no longer sitting on the bench.

Bokuto : we're going on a date!

■Bokuto's POV■

I could see Y/N face turns red by now. I'm planning to take her on a date today and spend the day with her. I thought she was just visiting, so I want to spend as much time with her. But instead, she's going to live here, it's even better.

Y/N: da-date?...

Bokuto : yes a date... after all. I'm in the middle of trying to make you my girlfriend.

I smiled at her, making her flustered. This side of Y/N, I really love it. My Baby Owl, I'm gonna make you mine again.

With that, I walk with her to the amusement park. Back then when she's still studying medic, I remember she wanted us to have a date at the amusement park.

But due to her being so busy, and my schedule sometimes clashes with hers, we never do it.

When we arrived at the amusement park entrance, I could see the sparks in her eyes.

Y/N: amusement park!

She exclaimed rather loudly, but then put her hand on her lips looking all embarrassed. I can't help but chuckle at this.

Bokuto: let's do what we missed before...

She looks at me with wide eyes, seems like she's remembering when she talks about the amusement park date before. Then she smiled and nods her head.

We play a lot of rides and enjoy most of them, except the haunted house. Well, I enjoyed it though because Y/N keeps on clinging onto my arm. I keep flexing my arm hope that she could feel my muscle.

When the sky turns dark we decided to ride the Ferris wheel, we sat across from each other. I watch as her eyes reflect the light.

She's beautiful, she's kind, she's caring... she's perfect. I want her to always be by my side. But I won't force her, I'll give her the time that she needs.

Bokuto : Y/N...

Y/N: yes?

Y/N look at me, waiting for me to talk after calling her.

Bokuto: I... really want to be with you.

Her eyes widened at my confession.

Bokuto : I want you every morning and night... want you to take care of me and I want to take care of you.... I want to hold you every night when I sleep and woke up to you softly shaking my body.... I miss you calling me Kotarou with your sweet voice

Y/N: Bokuto san...

I look at her eyes and give her a smile.

Bokuto : But I will patiently waiting until you're ready... I'm not going to force it on you... after all... I'm the one who robbed all of those happy days from myself...

The ride came to a stop, we're about to get out of the cart.

Bokuto : so please, think about giving me a chance okay.... I'll... be patiently waiting for you.... I love you Y/N...

■Y/N POV■

We walk out of the amusement park, it's getting late. I keep on thinking about what Bokuto san said on the wheel.

Bokuto and I walk to my aunt's place, hand in hand. Bokuto san's hand is so warm and big. He took my hand in his since we walk out of the Ferris wheel cart.

This hand used to hold me when I sleep or lift me to sit on his lap when we watch. This hand also the hand that rubs my back and stroked my hair.

Bokuto : your aunt's still live in the same pla- Y/N!?... Y/N what's wrong?

I don't realize it but my tears are falling right now. My heart feels heavy, and it feels like there's a lump in my throat. Bokuto put his hands on each of my shoulders

Bokuto: Y/N... is it because of me.... I'm sor-

Y/N: don't wait for me anymore....

Bokuto's eyes are widened at what I said. Then his expression looks so broken. The hands that were on my shoulder fell. So do his gaze that fell to his feet.

Bokuto: Y...N...

Y/N: You... don't have to wait anymore...

"I Love you Y/N"

I take one of his hands and hold it with my hands, making him look at my face. I show him my best smile even though my tears are streaming non-stop. I look right into his eyes.

Y/N: I Love you too.... Koutaro... I still do

After I said that, tears rolled down his cheeks. He Immediately uses the back of his arm to wipes it, and look right back at me.

Bokuto: you... do?

I nod my head at him. He brought me in a tight embrace, and I hug him back. I nuzzle my face on his neck. How I missed him so much, miss doing this to him.

Bokuto : I love you Y/N... my Baby Owl... thank you! Thank you so much! I swear I will be the best, most loyal, cool, and amazing boyfriend this time.

I can't help but chuckle at his neck. It's so like him to says all of those things. He pulled back from the hug. But presses his forehead to mine.

Bokuto: Y/N... I want to kiss you...

I could feel my face getting warm. Then I put my hands on his chest and closed my eyes.

As if he got the permission he needs, Koutaro presses his lips to mine. It was a gentle and longing kiss that lasts for a while.

When we pulled back, I can't help to be embarrassed. It's been a while since I was kissed. Koutaro suddenly lifts me up and turn around.

Bokuto : Finally you're mine again Baby owl..

I smile at my silly boyfriend. I love him so much, that even after all those years I couldn't forget about him.

Kotarou put me down and look straight into my eyes.

Bokuto : well Y/N... now that we're together again, do you want to move in with me? I already bought a new apartment... well it's not huge or anything but it's bigger than the one we rented before. It has two rooms... and I made the kitchen to your liking... because when I bought it... I hope to live there with you again.

I am touched by Kotarou excitedly asked me to live with him. But I think we need to take things step by step.

Y/N: could that... wait? It's not that I don't want to live with you... I... it's been a while since I meet my aunt so...

Bokuto : I understand! I can wait again... at least... I know that you'll eventually live with me.

With that Kotarou smile widely. And then we continue our walk to my aunt's place.

I won't run away again from my feeling

This time, we will make it right.
